ONE WORLD TOPS READY TO RUN SALE

23 October 2023

The Drakenstein Stud based champion One World proved the toast of Sunday’s Cape Racing Ready To Run And Unbroken Two Year Old Sale, which took place at Hollywoodbets Durbanville on Sunday afternoon.
One World provided the top lot sold at Sunday’s auction –a colt (Lot 48) who was knocked down to his former trainer Vaughan Marshall for R1 400 000.

Consigned by Soetendal Estate, as Agent, the sales topper, who has been called One Stripe, is out of the Silvano sired Silver Stripe, a Spook Express Handicap winning own-sister to G3 Winter Derby winner Gifted For Glory.

One World’s great result also saw the Met winning champion head the Leading Sires list for the 2023 Cape Racing Ready To Run And Unbroken Two Year Old Sale.

The son of Captain Al had five two-year-olds gross R2 030 000, with One World sired two-year-olds averaging R406 000 at Sunday’s sale.

One World, whose first two-year-olds race this season, was an exceptional racehorse and Equus Champion Older Male of 2019-2020.

The champion son of Captain Al, who won stakes races at two, three and four, has seven lots on offer at the 2023 November Two Year Old Sale.
