TUESDAY DOUBLE FOR FUTURA

22 December 2021

Drakenstein Stud’s inform sire Futura had another notable double at Vaal on Tuesday, with his daughter Three Hills capturing the fifth race on the card, and son Supreme Dance victorious in Tuesday’s sixth race.

The Corrie Lensley trained Three Hills showed plenty of courage when she won Tuesday’s Tellytrack.com Maiden Plate (F&M) over 2000m.
Under a strong ride from Craig Zackey, the Futura filly fought out a desperate finish with Tuuletar which saw Three Hills prevail by a head.

Bred by Dr Ian Heyns, Three Hills is out of the Var mare Trimontium.

Futura’s second success came when his talented son Supreme Dance captured Tuesday’s Computaform Online MR 88 Handicap over 1800m.
Trained by Brett Warren, Supreme Dance simply outclassed his rivals as he powered home to score by three and three-quarter lengths.

Ridden to victory on Tuesday by Gavin Lerena, the Cheveley Stud bred colt has now won three times and looks unlikely to stop here.

South Africa’s Horse Of The Year in 2014-2015, Futura is also responsible for eye catching recent winners Billy Bazooka and Dame Of Flames.
The champion son of Dynasty has three lots on offer at the 2022 Cape Premier Yearling Sale.
